I am in network with the following commercial plans: Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Mass General Brigham Health Plan, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, and Aetna.
Due to the individual nature of insurance plans, I ask that clients be responsible for knowing their coverage and any limitations. I will confirm your coverage before working together, but it is ultimately the clients responsibility.
Some plans may require a referral from a doctor, however, I've found that the majority of plans do not. It is recommended that you call your insurance company before your first session to confirm your benefits. You can use the Nutrition Therapy and Insurance Coverage handout below to guide you on what to say when talking to your insurance company. If your plan requires a referral, please follow the steps listed on the Greater Boston Nutrition Referral Form below.
Feel free to reach out with any questions! I'm committed to helping you navigate your healthcare options with ease and confidence.
If I don't accept your insurance you may still have coverage through your PPO out of network benefits- some plans cover up to 80%. Additionally we offer sliding scale pricing for individual and group sessions.
If this is the case you'll be charged the full session fee when we meet, and you'll receive a "superbill" to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Some clients prefer to submit a superbill for each visit, others may only want to submit one superbill a month. We can talk about what works best for you in your consultation.
For private pay clients, charges will show up on your statement as "Professional Services" to maintain confidentiality. I accept all major credit cards as well as FSA/HSA cards.
For any insurance related questions please reach out, I’m here to help!
